Past Works

Long term goals are often hard to meet. They require dedication from the past, present, and future. Below are some of my works that I have done to help me one day hopefully meet my goals.

Fulfilling Career

The time I spent in college of course greatly contributes to my goal in gaining a fulfilling career. I have learned a great deal at Cal Poly as a Computer Science major. I've completed several projects over my years here such as a simple shell and even a compiler for a simple language:

I have also worked as a student developer at CADRC (Collaborative Agent Design Research Center) since June 2009 in order to gain work experience. There I have gained experience in working with UI as a front-end developer working on ICODES:

Although I will most likely not stay with CADRC after graduation (I don't think they have enough open fulltime positions), the experience I've gained here will help me in my search for my dream job.

Continue Study in Web Technologies

One of my biggest regrets in regards to my college education is that I haven't learned nearly as much web technologies as I wanted to. Because of that, I made my senior project web based.

I have found that many people like to buy and sell on forum based communities. Unlike Ebay or Amazon, its often hard to judge if someone is a reliable seller since forums typically don't have a way to track feedback for a user. Seeing this problem, I'm creating a site that will provide a feedback system for anyone who sells or buys. This site will not be connected to any particular community. Instead it will be a standalone place where people can have all their feedback in one place to show their buyers when starting a transaction online.

The site is still in it's baby stages (I don't even have a name for it) right now but I hope to have it released in March 2011:

I am developing it using PHP + MySQL. I have been wanting to learn PHP since high school so I'm happy to finally have a chance to develop something in it. Afterall, the best way to learn is to actually use it for something.

Open Online Store for Handmade Crafts

I have made and sold several hand crafted items while in college. I have an Etsy store where I have made 13 sales. Due to time constraints I have not been able to put much focus into it. Most of the items I sold were handsewn or crocheted.

Study Design

At the end of high school and during the first year of college I used to run a graphic resourch website. I ran it for over 2 years before closing it due to time constraints (I wanted to focus more on school). It offered graphics such as avatars, desktop wallpapers, web layouts, Photoshop brushes and more. All of the graphics were made by me and I spent a lot of time ensuring that each item that went up was of good quality. Although I never taken design courses I was very ingrained with the webdesign community at the time and learned a lot from others. I hope to reopen a new graphic resource site this spring when my classload lessens. I also hope I can learn more design to improve the quality of the graphics I make.
